The oldest festival of its kind in Romania and one of the oldest jazz festivals worldwide, Sibiu Jazz Fest happens annually in Sibiu, the city with cobblestone streets & baroque buildings, „Romania’s Jazz Capital” as it has been declared in the 80’s. 

This year's edition (the 48th) will bring again jazz music in the Large Square, where artists from 13 countries will charm the public with their music for four consecutive days:

There is also a special section dedicated to kids – Jazz for Kids – which focuses on music education: children between 3 and 12 years can discover what it takes to play instruments like drums, bongos, djembes or tambourine.

„25 hours of non-stop theatre” is a marathon-festival organised by an independent structure, the BIS Cultural Asociation. 
For 25 hours, Sibiu is packed with theatre shows and events which take place simultaneously, in various locations. The concept of non-stop theatre has appealed not only to local people, but to many art lovers from all across the country.
